INNERSOUNDS: LOCATION 23
A sonic-portrait of a London landmark - the BT Tower. Made solely from sounds within the building using acoustic and electromagnetic recordings. A reaction to the inner sounds of the tower formed into a subjective narrative that follows the levels of the building - from the sub-basement engine rooms to the balcony at the top.
Coastal Soundforms
A mosaic of acoustic recordings from different coastal regions, a blend of subjective shaping, generative processing and faithful sonic representation. An exploration of the contrast between organic noises, urban soundmarks and dominant ocean sounds. Features recordings from Portugal, Morocco, Lithuania, Netherlands, UK, Italy and Spain.
Clandestine Machines
A short field recording piece composed from sounds recorded at the Brompton Bicycle factory in London, UK. The composition features heavily processed sounds, however all of them are unaltered pitch wise, meaning all are present in the factory, even if they might normally be difficult to distinguish.
POCKETDIAL
A short composition inspired by musique concrète techniques. It follows a pocket dial scenario and explores the contrast between two worlds: the one experienced by the ears of the accidental dialer, and the one perceived by the person receiving the call through a portal opened in the caller's pocket. The piece uses recordings made during a live phone call and traditional field recordings.
